Tech Tip: Loop YouTube songs or play them when phone screen is off

 We all use YouTube to listen to music more than we do it to watch videos. At work especially, one of the best way to keep the din out and focus on the things that matter is by putting on the headphones and open a long music compilation or playlist on YouTube.

But YouTube as a music player also lacks some crucial features, unless you subscribe to YouTube Music and YouTube Red, which are not yet available in India. But of late, things have changed. Earlier you could not loop music on YouTube without a plug-in or with a third-party website. Now you can. Similarly, you can also now listen to music on YouTube on a phone even when the screen is off. How? We tell you.

Loop songs

This feature is now available on to the desktop users who are using the HTML player, which means if you have the recent version of Chrome browser installed, you can now easily loop videos. To do so:

-- Open the song that you want to loop.

-- On the video area do a right click.

-- Select loop. It will show a tick against it and will loop until you again do the right click and remove it.

How to listen to YouTube music when the phone screen is off 

-- Download Mozilla Firefox app from the play store.

-- Open the app and open any song or YouTube video that you want to play in the background.

-- Click play. 

-- Now even if you open some other app or lock the screen, the music will continue to play. Although it will drain some battery, if the music from YouTube is what you want you will get it.
