Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S firmware reveals Sony IMX363 sensor, Android 8.0 Oreo and more
NEW DELHI: As per rumours, Xiaomi is said to be working on its next bezel-less smartphone. Likely to be called Mi Mix 2S, the device surfaced online earlier this week and now some specifications of the device have surfaced online courtesy Mi Mix 2S firmware files discovered by XDA-Developers.

The files confirm that the device has been codenamed as Polaris and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It will also come with the Sony IMX363 camera sensor.


The firmware files also reveal that the device will house a FHD+ display with 1080x2160 pixel resolution and will be 5.99-inch in size. The leak also confirms that the smartphone will be backed by a 3400mAh battery and will feature a fingerprint sensor below the display.


The earlier rumours suggest that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo operating system topped with MIUI 9 layer of the company. The device is said to come with dual-SIM functionality and is expected to offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.


The smartphone will reportedly sport a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 4K recording support and optical zoom.


Recently, Xiaomi expanded its product portfolio with the launch of two new smartphones and a TV in India. The company has launched Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Mi Smart TV 4 in the country. All the three device will go on sale on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Store in country starting February 22.
