Latest Galaxy S8 leak reveals Samsung's plan

With so much leaks floating around recently, Samsung has officially emailed employees to clamp down on leaks ahead of the Galaxy S8 release early next year. The release of Samsung Galaxy S8 next year would be crucial for the company especially after the Note 7 debacle. The company makes it a point to ensure everything is on track before it goes on sale.

The successor phone to its current flagship Galaxy s7, the new Galaxy S8 will just arrive sometime in April. The earlier set unveiling at Mobile World Congress (MWC) is at hold, however the handset will be launched at a dedicated event in New York in April, as reported by SamMobile.

The main reason to delay the launch is to ‘work with external agencies’ so as to recover the consumer confidence before releasing the new product in the market. However, pushing the date to further extent might affect the company’s flagship phones sales figures. As, releasing the phone at a later date will eventually push the significant holiday sales, that people binge up to while saving their annual wages for the discounted smartphones.

Already, the South Korean giant faced a financial setback after Note 7 explosion which slurped down the Q3 sales with Q4 set to follow.

Samsung will eventually build considerable bond with its consumers, if PR and the ‘external agencies’ work well. However, the main advantage will be technology. When Samsung will release the phone by April, most of the Android phone makers will be done showing off their handsets at MWC, which gives Samsung a considerable time to strategize handset technology to rival handsets technology. And, marketing too.

Also, in December the company was also reportedly adding a new optical fingerprint sensor which will be embedded under glass and will have no home button. This give more space for marketing and PR to considerably work on expressing the new technology.

According to ChoiceNews, the handset is likely to cost between 15 percent and 20 percent more than its predecessor Galaxy S7, mainly because of increase in price of ‘raw materials’. The ChoiceNews quotes Goldman Sachs analysts expecting the pricing to be higher than current flagship devices.
