Bollywood actor Salman Khan turned 51 this December 27. On his birthday, the actor launched his official app - BeingInTouch. With this, Salman Khan has become the second Bollywood personality (after Sonam Kapoor) to have an app of their own. BeingInTouch app, is aimed at providing the actor's fans all the updates about him, as well as an insight into his life.
For the app's launch, Salman Khan turned to Twitter and posted a video of himself. In the video, he addressed the his fans and invited them to download the app.
When we saw the tweet, we decided to download the app to give it a try. We spent some time with BeingInTouch app, and here's the rest of our review.
We'll start by saying that BeingInTouch is a visual delight for all Salman Khan fans.
Once you sign up using your email and phone number (which the app verifies), you're taken to a page from where you can access various app sections. These include Being in Touch, Khandaan, Being Human Jobs, Fan Wall and About. We'll just take you through each one of them.
When you tap BeingInTouch, you get to a page that has posts, photos and videos. All of these three are quite few in number right now, but we can't complain as the app is barely a day old.
The next section we tapped on is 'Khandaan.' At first, we thought that it was a fan community that is being built through the app. However, we found two coupon codes after tapping on it. One of these can be used in Being Human stores, while the other can be used to get discount on Being Jewellery.
The next section of the app is 'Being Human Jobs'. It is something that we found unique in the app. As the name suggests, it tells about job openings at Being Human. We went through the job postings and they varied from social media analyst to store manager. Required details such as qualifications, key responsibilities and skills are also listed. Furthermore, those who are interested to work for Being Human can apply for jobs via the app.
Fan Wall is another section of the app, which shows your exact location on the map and also how many other people around you are Salman's fans.

This is all that is there's to BeingInTouch. Having said that, we'll say that we didn't encounter any lags or problems while using the app. The interface is simple and user-friendly. The app works very well on Wi-Fi, but does take some time to load the content on mobile data..
Verdict
We'd conclude right from where we started. Download BeingInTouch only if you are a hardcore Salman Khan fan, because the content of the app is solely focused on him. There are a few things that we didn't find very relevant and like we mentioned earlier, some content of the app takes a little long to download, especially on mobile data.
Other than that, we found BeingInTouch very simple to use. A feature we particularly liked was 'Being Human Jobs,' and we think it is one of the most useful features of the app.
