Garmin's Approach X10 is a wearable for golfers
Garmin has added to its range of golf wearable and trackers by launching the new Approach X10.

Designed with simplicity in mind, Garmin has stripped back on some of the features found in its other golf trackers to provide users with a new entry-level golf wearable that is specifically for use on the course.

A good option for beginners to the game, the wearable still comes preloaded with data for over 41,000 courses around the world, allowing golfers to see the true shape and layout of the green so they can plan their shot accurately.

Players will be able to easily see precise distances to the front, back and middle of the green, as well as hazards such as bunkers and water on the touch-screen display, and measure shot distances.

The Approach X10 will also keep a record of your score, which can also be synced with the new Garmin Golf app to allow users to compete with friends and fellow golfers in weekly leaderboards on any golf course. Players can also set up their own tournaments using the app and invite friends to join in.

"The Approach X10 is a simple and intuitive band perfect for beginners just starting to learn the game, or for avid golfers who want a fundamental golf band used exclusively on the course," said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. "Even if you've never played the course before, the Approach X10 will give you the tools to swing with confidence."

The slim band comes with with a 1-inch touchscreen display that is water resistant to 5 ATM, useful if you happen to get caught in the rain while out on the course, and comes with a rechargeable battery that gives up to 12 hours of play in GPS mode.
