Xiaomi Mi 6 was announced on Wednesday, April 19 in Beijing. The Chinese smartphone vendor was expected to announce Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus and Mi Max 2 as well. But, sadly it didn't. However, several analysts are now predicting that the smartphone maker might announce the Plus version very soon, alongside the Mi Max 2. Furthermore, recent speculations also suggest that Xiaomi might also unveil another device, dubbed to be the Mi Mix 2.
This is probably not the first time we have come across rumours about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The smartphone is going to be the successor of the last year launch - Mi Mix. Speculations about the device have been making rounds on the web for quite some time now. However, this time, a new leak provides a much clear picture on how the Mi Mix 2 will be.
A report coming from Gearbest, an online retail store shows the phablet listed on their website reveals complete specifications and also at the end mentions "Free Shipping to India via unregistered Air Mail" under the shipping cost category. So, does that mean that the phablet by the Chinese company is expected to hit the Indian shores really soon?
In terms of the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixel. Further, the Xiaomi phablet will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core2.45GHz processor. Not to forget, the recently announced Xiaomi Mi 6, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ also come with the same processor.
The phablet will come with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM options coupled with two storage variants - 128GB and 256GB memory, not sure if the space can be further expanded via an external microSD card. On the camera front, the device will further feature a 19-megapixel camera on the rear side, while 13-mgapixel selfie snapper at the front. Right below the rear camera is the fingerprint scanner.
The listing further reveals that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will run on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, above which will be MIUI 9 layer. Furthermore, the phablet, as per the listing will be available in two colour variants - Black and White.
Connectivity-wise the device further includes several options like - 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and micro USB. If the rumours are to be believed the device is expected to launch in the second half of the year and will also be accompanied by the rumours Mi Max 2 as well.
Several speculations surfacing the web suggest that Chinese smartphone maker will soon unveil the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus. Apparently, the device has been spotted on Chinese 3C certification today, which tips the launch date of the smartphone in a very short span. However, Xiaomi has to confirm on the same for now.
