Soon after announcing the most awaited flagships of the year, Samsung is apparently working on announcing J3 and J5 2017 variants very soon. Both the smartphones have been lately spotted on certification websites, which provides a rough picture of how the devices might look like, and also illustrates the specifications that the smartphones are expected to pack.
Samsung J3 (2017) received Wi-Fi certifications on Thursday. After which, the smartphone is now spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website with the model number - SM-J330F. Both the listing shows almost the similar specifications that the J3 (2017) model is expected to come packed with.
In terms of the specifications, the GeekBench listing reveals that the Samsung smartphone is expected to come with 2GB RAM and Exynos 7570 SoC 1.45 GHz quad-core processor and further run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It also reveals that, on the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to come with a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel selfie snapper on the front, right above the display.
However, as per the Wi-Fi certification, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will support 2.4GHz single-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity options.
Other speculations reveal that the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will come with a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. While on the storage front, the smartphone will pack 16GB of internal storage. No details on if the storage space can be further expanded or not. On the connectivity front, the device is expected to come with several options like - 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB port.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) cleared FCC. The smartphone comes with a model number SM-J530F. The device before FCC was spotted on GeekBench and GFXBench as well and revealed a rough sketch of specifications that the smartphone is expected to pack.
In terms of the specifications, J5 (2017) will come with a 4.8-inch display. Further, the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and powered by octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.59GHz. The GeekBench listing further reveals that Samsung Galaxy J5 (20170 variant will come with 16GB of internal storage, coupled with 2GB of RAM. While on the optics front, J5 2017 will sport a 12-megapixel camera on both rear and front. No further details on the launch and price of either of the smartphones have been revealed.
