The LG G6 is a very important smartphone for LG after the critical and commercial drubbing received by the the LG G5. The smartphone, which was was launched in India a few days ago for Rs 51,999, faces tough competition in the country from the Samsung Galaxy S8, which comes with a similar bezel-less design.
In order to attract customers over to their side, LG has tied up with Amazon for an extremely attractive launch offer. The company is offering a massive cashback of Rs 10,000 to customers who purchase the LG G6 from Amazon India via HDFC or SBI cards.
There are two conditions though - the offer is only applicable for today and is only available to Amazon Prime members. The offer effectively reduces the cost of the smartphone from Rs 51,999 to Rs 41,999 - less than what the one year old Samsung Galaxy S7 is retailing for currently.
Those who are interested in buying the LG G6 should head on over to Amazon and sign up for a Prime membership asap (there is a 30 day trial on offer as well). In addition to the cashback, there is also a Reliance Jio offer which gives LG G6 users an additional 10GB of data on every recharge of Rs 309 until March 2018. LG is also offering "EA special gifts" for 6 EA games such as Cookie Jam and Temple Run 2 worth Rs. 14,100.
At Rs 41,999, the LG G6 makes for an incredibly compelling buy. LG has completely re-imagined the G6 from the ground up. The removable battery, modular design and the tacky plastic finish on the back panel of the LG G5 have all given way to a gorgeous glass and metal spectacle with a near bezel-less design.
The LG G6 comes with a 5.7' Quad HD display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a 3,300mAh battery, Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and IP68 water/dust resistance.
Additionally, the smartphone comes with a striking 18:9 Full Vision display (instead of the regular 16:9), Google Assistant on board, Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support for enhanced video and a striking screen to body ratio of 80%.
On the imaging front, the LG G6 sports a dual camera array on the back with two 13MP sensors with one of them having a wide-angle lens with a 125-degree field of view. On the front there is a 5MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 100 degree field of view.
