Chinese smartphone maker and market leader, Vivo announced its exclusive partnership with domestic e-commerce marketplace Flipkart to sell its latest Vivo V5 Plus limited edition smartphone. The smartphone was announced on April 4, but the price was not revealed yet. The company today confirmed that the limited edition Vivo V5 Plus will be sold for Rs 25,990 and sale starts on April 10 on Flipkart.
Commenting on the partnership Ajay Yadav, Head – Mobiles, Flipkart said, “ With our wide market reach, strong products portfolio, exclusive brand partnerships, and easy payment options, coupled with the immersive mobile experience that the Vivo V5 Plus offers to consumers, we are confident that this newest smartphone will be a huge success on Flipkart. ”
The limited edition V5 Plus is launched to celebrate ten years of popular cricket series Indian Premier League (IPL). It comes in a special matte Black colour and sports an 18-carat VIVOIPL logo engraved at the back. Also, it has a dedicated cricket theme, which can be installed on other Vivo phones as well.

Surprisingly, the standard version of the Vivo V5 Plus was launched at Rs. 27,980, but the new limited edition is priced lesser at Rs 25,990.
The new IPL Edition Vivo V5 Plus has exactly the same hardware specification and features as the regular Vivo V5 Plus. The highlight of the smartphone is the dual-front camera with a 20MP Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system along with an 8MP secondary sensor. On the back, it has a 16MP sensor with LED flash.
The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080p) IPS display. It is powered by a 2.0GHz oct-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage, missing a microSD card slot. It runs on the company’s own custom UI, Funtouch OS 3.0, based on top ofAndroid 6.0 Marshmallow.
Connectivity options on the limited edition Vivo V5 Plus include G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and more. To keep it running all day, the smartphone has a 3055mAh battery. It measures 152.8x74.00x7.26 mm and weighs 158.6 grams.
