New Samsung Galaxy S8 Your wait may have just gotten a little longer

You may have to wait an extra week before you can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
Samsung has changed its launch plans for the highly anticipated smartphones, moving the Galaxy S8 global release date from April 21 to April 28, a person "briefed on the company's revised target" tells Evan Blass of VentureBeat . Blass has a stellar track record when it comes to mobile rumors.
The consumer tech powerhouse will reveal its new handsets on March 29, with invitations already sent out to press. Since Samsung usually puts its flagship phones on sale a month after they're announced, the new April 28 launch date matches more closely with Samsung's typical timing anyway.
The longer wait isn't attributed to a specific reason, however it's understood Samsung is, understandably, being extra careful with its upcoming phone release after the fiery Galaxy Note 7 debacle.

The anticipation builds...

We advise taking the revised release date with a grain of salt as we haven't heard official word from Samsung. Hell, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ aren't even announced yet, let alone ready to hit store shelves.
While the Galaxy S8+ will be larger than the Galaxy S8 – the S8+ display is rumored to stretch 6.2 inches versus the S8 screen's 5.8 inches – the rest of their specs should match up.
They'll likely share the same Snapdragon 835 chipset (at least in the US and China), have an extra wide 18.5:9 aspect ratio and other goodies, including a digital assistant named Bixby.
Two flagship phones aren't all that are planned for the March 29 event, taking place in both New York City and London. Samsung will also reveal a slightly refined Gear VR headset that works with the phones as well as the recently revealed Gear VR Controller .
Though a slightly longer wait is a bit disappointing, it makes sense for Samsung to take the time to get this release right. Much is riding on a successful phone launch after the Note 7 disaster , and with the LG G6 already making waves, it's smart of Samsung to treat the Galaxy S8 release like a marathon, not a sprint.
