Here's the Xiaomi beats Apple, Samsung with 15.4% market share in worldwide wearable market

Xiaomi is not a new player in the tech industry anymore. The name is known and trusted by many around the globe. The company has seen a huge growth in its short but successful tenure. Continuing the same growth, Xiaomi is ranked second in terms of market share, growth and the number of units shipped in 2016.

No doubt the achievement is something extravagant for a company that has biggies like AppleSamsungFitbit and more in the competition. Despite a few tough quarters last year, and a decline in market share, Fitbit has still topped the chart with 22% market share.

The Chinese smartphone maker has kept a different approach to capture the wearable industry. It has been focused on manufacturing low-cost fitness trackers, and keeping the quality up to the mark.

For now, the major market behind Xiaomi’s success is China followed by India. If Xiaomi plays its cards right, it can surely come at the top spot. One thing that keeps the company limited is the lack of global recognition and expertise, but we believe Xiaomi will hit back harder to get that top spot in coming years.
