Reliance Jio announced the launch of its commercial operations starting from April 1st. The company also announced that it had crossed 100 million customers. At the same time, Reliance Jio gets to tap in its pool of 100 million customers and convert them into paid customers.

Jio Prime offer subscription can be availed for just Rs. 99 for the first year. The company is offering a range of plans, starting at Rs. 149 per month and going up to Rs. 9,999 per month. On the whole, as a Jio Prime subscriber, you will get many additional benefits and perks over regular Jio customers.

Signing up for Jio Prime is a very easy process. Jio announced that subscriptions for Jio Prime will start from March 1st and end on March 31st. You have three options to subscribe to Jio Prime - using the MyJio app, Jio.com or Reliance Digitalstores.

How To Sign Up For Reliance Jio Prime

There are three ways to sign up for Jio Prime.

MyJio App

You can use the MyJio app on your smartphone to sign up for Jio Prime. It is a very simple process and is similar to buying a product on your phone.

If you don't already have the MyJio app installed on your phone, you can download it for Android here and for iOS here.

If you have the app installed, make sure it is up to date using the Play Store or the App Store

* Now open the MyJio app on your phone. On the main screen, click on Open in the MyJio category. You may be presented with a Get Jio Prime screen, along with options to Sign In or Sign Up. If you have the Jio SIM inserted in your phone, with Wi-Fi turned off, just click on Sign in.

* Click on the three-line menu button near the top left. The first option in the list will be Jio Prime. Click on it.

* On the next page, you will see two options - Get Jio Prime or Gift Jio Prime. In this instance, we are going to use the Get Jio Prime option.

* On the next screen, you will be presented with a Jio Prime Membership Plan option. Click on Rs. 99 on the screen.

* You will now be redirected to the Payment screen, with options to pay using your debit or credit cards or JioMoney.

At the time of testing, we were unable to make the payment for Jio Prime. This is due to the servers not being able to handle the flood of customers trying to sign up for Jio Prime. Don't worry though, because you can sign up for Prime membership up to March 31st. In the next few days, the servers should return to operating normally.

Logging in to Jio.com

You can also sign up for Jio Prime using the official Jio.com website.

* First, you will have to sign in using your Jio.com login credentials.

* After logging in, you will be shown your account page. On the bottom right, click on Buy Membership option.

* Now click on the Get Jio Prime button. This will take you to the payment page where you can make the payment using your debit or credit cards or JioMoney.

Again, at the time of testing, we were unable to make the payment due to server issues. You can try again later, once the initial traffic has subsided.

Reliance Digital or Digital Xpress Mini stores

You can also sign up for Jio Prime by heading over to the nearest Reliance Digital or Digital Xpress Mini stores. Simply provide your Jio number to the Jio customer executive and make the payment.
