Apple’s Next-Gen IPhone Might Cost Over $1000

Apple is expected to launch its 10th year iPhone later this year. According to a new revelation, the handset could be the company’s most expensive yet. This means that customers will have to gear up to shell out more than they did for the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus, which is not exactly good news for the customers.

It is being said that the base model of the upcoming iPhone could cost $1000, making it fairly expensive by modern day standards. It is said that this device will be known as the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 8X when it breaks cover in late 2017. Since this is the company’s 10th iPhone, we expect there to be some major enhancements on board.

It has been rumored that the handset will feature an OLED display on board which will cover almost the entirety of the front panel. In line with what previous reports had mentioned, it is said that the upcoming iPhone will have a fingerprint scanner embedded within the display panel. This means that the 3D Touch home button from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will go out of fashion within a year. I’m sure the fans won’t mind this all that much as it would introduce yet another innovative feature to the iPhone lineup.

There is also talk that Apple will perhaps ditch the fingerprint scanner altogether in favor of a facial recognition system or a retina scanner, much like what we saw on the infamous Samsung Galaxy Note 7. There are lots of rumors floating around about the iPhone, although we will have to wait until the end of the year to get any sort of confirmation on these features.
