Hackers Hacked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account: Recently a hackers’ group named OurMine hacked the twitter account of Jack Dorsey, who is the CEO of twitter. After it some similar tweets were also posted that “Hey, it’s OurMine, we are testing your security, visit ourmine.org.” then that tweet was quickly deleted. A short vine video was also embedded with one of the similar tweets by the OurMine hacker group. The hackers could not get full access to the account as they posted the tweets via Vine.

OurMine group is now in talks because they hacked some social networking accounts of Silicon Valley executives. Before this twitter account hijacking, they also hacked Quora account of Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Twitter, Pinterest accounts of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. They also hacked the twitter account of Spotify’s CEO Danial Ek.
After some time of hacking the Jack Dorsey’s account, the twitter officials got control on the account and the tweets were taken down. This hacking is claimed to focus on the security as the OurMine team told Mic that “We are just trying to let them know that nobody is safe”.
The OurMine group wants people to sign up for a security check of security of their social accounts. After sign up, they will tell them that the account is hackable or not. They decided $5000 as the sign-up amount for one scan.
This series of hacking by OurMine makes people afraid and tensed about the security of their social accounts. This downs the belief of people on their privacy on the social networking websites and the security as well. This brings a black spot on the security of social networking websites.
To increase the security of social accounts, everyone should make a unique password for every account and the password recovery option should be correct.
