The Nexus 6P employs a full metal unibody construction with the glass bump area at top on the back that houses the camera setup, and it has certainly been a polarizing design element. It has display of 5.7-inch, so the Nexus 6P is wider, taller and heavier than the HTC 10.
DESIGN
While HTC 10 brings some subtle changes, HTC has added a bit if girth all the way around edges. The HTC 10 is little wider and because of its smaller size this device certainly offers the better handling experience when it is compared to the Nexus 6P.
DISPLAY
The HTC 10 comes with Super LCD 5 display of 5.2-inch with Quad HD resolution and pixel density of 565ppi.
The Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with a Quad HD resolution and pixel density of 518ppi. Gaming and media consumption can be more enjoyable on the larger screen but when it comes to general viewing experience both smartphones do an excellent job.
PERFORMANCE
There is not much difference in the performance of these two smartphones, but Nexus 6P was launched in the latter half of the 2015, while the HTC 10 does see the benefits of the newer release.
The Nexus 6P comes with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and it is clocked at 2GHz and it is backed by Adreno 430 GPU and RAM of 3GB
The HTC 10 is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it is clocked at 2.15 GHz and it is backed by Adreno 530 GPU and RAM of 4GB.
So, the overall performance with both the smartphones is fantastic.
HARDWARE
Both the smartphones comes with the fingerprint sensor, but yes with different implementations. The fingerprint scanner of HTC 10 is on the up front and it is embedded into the capacitive home key and it is as fast and very accurate. On the other hand the scanner of Nexus 6P is found on the back and it is placed ideally to be with the easy reach of the index finger and it can be used to quickly wake and unlock the phone in only one go.
In the HTC 10 there are in-built storage of 32GB and 64GB and additional storage via microSD card up to 200 GB.
The Nexus 6P also adds a 128GB but without expandable storage. Both the devices comes with the standard suite of the connectivity options, but with larger focus on audio.
CAMERA
The Nexus 6P has rear camera of 12 MP with the 1.55um pixel size and f/2.0 aperture, laser auto focus system and OIS. On the other hand the specs sheet of HTC 10 is mostly identical and save for the f/1.8 aperture.
Simplicity is main focus when it comes to the respective camera applications, with the HTC further streamlining the camera app to make it easier to be use.
