So to hide the online status on WhatsApp and still use internet on your phone for other purposes like Facebook and YouTube, etc. You can go to your phone’s Settings> Apps> Downloaded Apps>WhatsApp> Force stop WhatsApp.
This will stop WhatsApp from running in the background. And now your friends won’t see you online on Whatsapp. Whenever you want to use WhatsApp again, you can open it manually and again people will see you as you are online.
