MUMBAI:Bengaluru-based Lithium Urban Technologies, the country’s first provider of electric cab service for corporate clients, is scouting for a partner to set up charging infrastructure for e-vehicles.
“We are in talks with key players to partner with. We can partner with anyone who has solutions to provide for charging,” Sanjay Krishnan, cofounder of Lithium, told ET at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida.
Krishnan said Lithium has signed an agreement with the government to provide 60 electric chargers across the Delhi-NCR region for public use, for which it will get financial assistance from the government. The company now wants to add to this infrastructure and is working on partnerships with private players for it, he said.
With a fleet of 400 electric cars which it sources from Mahindra & Mahindra, and 70 charging stations in Bengaluru and 20 in Delhi, the two-year-old startup provides services to 11 clients, including Unisys, Accenture and Adobe Systems.
Lithium's plan is to expand to cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai and put close to 500 additional fast electric chargers in these cities.
