Xiaomi Mi 6 first flash sale crosses 10 lakh pre-registrations

Xiaomi Mi 6

After a long wait, Xiaomi announced the most awaited flagship of the year - Mi 6 on April 19. Soon after the launch, the Xiaomi smartphone was made available for pre-orders for its first flash sale set for April 28. However, as of now, the handset will only be available in China. The smartphone has received over 10 lakh (1 million) pre-registration already on JD.com.
The 1 million mark is based only on the number of pre-bookings on Jingdong (JD.com). However, the Chinese smartphone maker also has a tie up with a few other online retailers carrying out Mi 6 flash sale on April 28. So, if numbers are to be considered, the pre-registration number must have almost crossed 20 lakh (2 million) or even more by now. No confirmation has come on the pre-registration numbers from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi 6 will be up for flash sale exclusively on JD.com, Giztop, and a few more online retail store in China on April 28.  It is just another 4 days to go for the first flash sale for the Mi 6, and the pre-registration numbers are still increasing at a rapid pace. However, a previously leaked report revealed that Xiaomi will only be selling about 80,000 units approx, which means not all the users pre-registering the device will be able to get the device. This information is not confirmed by the company and the number of units may vary accordingly.
As per the Chinese retail website -- JD.com, the Xiaomi smartphone has already been booked by 1,108,192 consumers to be specific. The number is expected to increase, and this is because of the popularity that the smartphone started gaining ahead of its launch and also for the amazing features that it sports, especially the processor. Xiaomi Mi 6 is powered by Qualcomm's latest octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, which is also seen on the recently announced Samsung flagships - Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Mi 6 features a 5.15-inch 1080p display and is powered by Qualcomm's latest processor - the Snapdragon 835. Further, the smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and is backed by a 3,350mAh battery. The Mi 6 is available in two storage variants - 64GB and 128GB. On the camera front, the smartphone features a dual camera setup at the rear with 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor, while on the front the device sports an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
As per the pricing, the Xiaomi Mi 6 comes in two variants - one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs 23,500), while the higher-end variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs 27,000). There is no information on the Indian release as of yet. However, with the overwhelming response by the consumer, Xiaomi may very soon launch the Mi 6 globally. Also, the company is also rumoured to announce the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus in the upcoming days.
