Meizu on Wednesday secretly announce a new smartphone called the - Meizu E2. Ahead of the launch, there have been several speculations about the smartphone making rounds on the web. The key highlight of the Meizu E2 is its fast charging capability and the fingerprint scanner which is placed underneath the home button in the front panel.
Meizu E2 is launched in two variants, wherein one comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, while the second one packs 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. As per the pricing, the 3GB RAM variant is launched at CNY 1,299, which is approx Rs 12,100. While the 4GB RAM model comes with a price tag of CNY 1,599, which comes roughly around roughly Rs. 14,800. The storage space can be further expanded up to 128GB via an external microSD card.
In terms of specifications, the newly launched Meizu E2 a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) with 2.5D curved glass display. The smartphone further runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Flyme OS 6.0 on top and is further powered by a 2.35GHz MediaTek Helio P20 SoC.
On the camera front, the newly launched Meizu E2 comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the rear which is coupled with Probabilistic data association filter (PDAF) and Quad LED two-colour warm flash. While on the front, the phone fits an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Meizu E2 will be up for sale on April 29 in China. The smartphone is already available for pre-orders.
The key highlight of the device is its fast charging capability. The smartphone comes packed with backed by a decent 3400mAh battery. The battery supports 18W fast charging and dual SIM support. With Meizu E2, the smartphone manufacturer promises to 40 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
As per the design, with the new launch, Meizu ditches the old, mundane design. The smartphone is launched with several colour variants -- Silver, Pink, and Black and sports a sleek metal body with a little curvy edge. Further, the power and the volume button are placed at the right side of the smartphone, while the 3.5mm audio jack is situated at the bottom edge. On the connectivity front, the device includes several options like -4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1 and a Micro-USB port.
Meizu is also expected to unveil another smartphone called Pro 7. As per the speculations are concerned, the Meizu Pro 7 is expected to launch tomorrow. However, the Chinese smartphone maker hasn't confirmed the launch yet.
