New Nokia 8 flagship smartphone could launch in June

Nokia took the centerstage during the Mobile World Congress 2017. Millions of eyes were waiting to witness the reborn Nokia devices during the event. Nokia launched the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and an all-new version of Nokia 3310 feature phone. All the smartphones were rumoured ahead of the official launch but there was one more name that was being expected along with the launched devices. We were expecting Nokia’s flagship Nokia 8 smartphone as well but there was no sign of the smartphone at the event.

As per the latest leak coming from China, HMD global, the parent company of Nokia, is planning to launch their flagship device in June. It is also said that the smartphone will be coming in two screen sizes which are expected to have similar specifications but different screen sizes. It is expected to run on Snapdragon 835 chipset which is also expected in all the upcoming flagship smartphones coming this year.

Similar to the launched Nokia smartphones, the rumoured ‘Nokia 8’ will be coming with a metal unibody structure. It is highly possible that Nokia may use a dual-camera setup on the smartphone, as most other flagships are slated to boast of a twin camera setup as well. The two variants are expected to come with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and along with multiple storage options.

The leak further suggests that the smaller variant will be priced around $580+ and bigger one might come with a price tag of $650+.

The Nokia 8 is rumoured to come in two variants, one with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and the Snapdragon 835 SoC and one with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and the Snapdragon 821 SoC.

On the camera front, the handset is rumoured to come with a massive 24MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and a 12MP front shooter for selfies.
