New Moto G5 Plus to be sold exclusively on Flipkart

We have earlier reported that Lenovo will be launching the latest mid-ranger Moto G5 Plus in India on March 15. Adding up to more details around the launch, it is being said that the upcoming smartphone will be exclusively sold on Flipkart. 

The Moto India Twitter page has been feeding the teasers about the Moto G5 Plus launch from couple of days. The teasers have confirmed that the smartphone will be arriving on March 15 and will be exclusive to Flipkart. Unlike the other G series phones, the Moto G4 was not sold on Flipkart. 

Moto G series has always been the prime player in Indian markets and the Moto G5 Plus will come with some major improvements this time. It will be the first G series smartphone to come with a metal shell, and like its predecessor, it will also have a high-end camera. 

Moto G5 Plus India specifications

Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a pixel density of 424ppi. Under to hood, it runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset with Cortex A-53 cores clocked at 2Ghz, paired with Adreno 506 GPU. In the storage segment, it comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage with an option to expand the storage via microSD card and RAM varies from 2GB-4GB depending on the model you chose. 

On the camera front, Moto G5 Plus houses a 12MP rear camera with large f/1.7 aperture and dual-autofocus pixels and a 5MP camera on the front. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and microUSB V 2.0. The fingerprint sensor is located on the bottom bezel that supports swiping gestures, which can be used to replicate the functions of on-screen buttons. 

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with few customizations from Motorola. It has non-removable 3000mAh battery that's claimed to give all-day battery life. Further, support for 10W turbocharging ensures the battery is refuelled in no time.
