Looks like there's a Fitbit Alta HR in the works

A new leak suggests the Fitbit Alta is about to be upgraded with a heart rate sensor on the rear.
Fitbit’s range of trackers are slowly being upgraded with the latest tech - for example, the Charge 2 and Flex 2 launched last year with added tricks - and it seems the Alta may be the next one to see a refresh in the next few months.
It's called the Fitbit Alta HR, according to tech site Wareable. The site spotted the image below in the Fitbit website's source code alongside mentions of the Alta HR name.

Extra heart

The strap on the leaked Alta HR picture looks a little different to the original Alta and the fact the beats per minute counter is on the main screen of the promo shot suggests the heart rate sensor will be a major selling point of this device.
There's also a Fitbit logo along the bottom of the device too.
Not much else is known about the Alta HR now though, and it may be Fitbit will launch it alongside some other products too.
Whether this will launch at MWC 2017, which officially starts tomorrow, or is set for an announcement later in 2017 remains to be seen.
