Latest Coolpad Cool S1 with Snapdragon 821 coming to India in May,2017

Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad yesterday launched their flagship smartphone Coolpad Cool S1 in MWC 2017. It is the first flagship from the company to debut outside China, where it was unveiled in back in December 2016. Today, it is confirmed that the smartphone will be making its entry to Indian market very soon. 

To recall, the Cool series of smartphones are made jointly by the two Chinese tech giants- Coolpad and LeEco. The first Cool series phone to debut in India was the Coolpad Cool 1 in the last week of 2016. Coolpad Cool 1 was the first phone to offer dual-camera module on a budget. 

Coming to the Coolpad Cool S1, it has a 5.5-inch full HD IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 401ppi. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with LeEco’s EUI 5.8 on top.

On the camera front, it has a 16MP sensor on the rear assisted by PDAF and dual LED. The rear camera supports 4K video recording. On the front, it has an 8MP sensor for selfies. 

It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. It comes in three variants- 4GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/64GB storage, and 6GB RAM/128GB storage. The storage is further upgradable via microSD. 

Additional features include a fingerprint sensor and a high-definition Harman Kardon Cali-fi audio support. Like the Le 2 and Le Max 2, it does not have a 3.5mm audio jack and comes with CDLA support. 

Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone comes with a 4070 mAh battery with Quick Charging support.
