One of the features that might be added to Android O is Copy Less. Reports suggest that ‘Copy Less’ will make it easier to copy text from one app and paste it in another app. The feature would work such that it will predict where you would want to paste the text you have copied to. For example, if you have copied address of a restaurant from say, Yelp, the ‘Copy Less’ feature will be able to predict if you are trying to send it to someone.
Reports are unclear on whether this will be a part of Gboard app or the stock Android keyboard.
Another feature that may be added is Smart Links. This feature will link relevant information texts to their respective apps. For example, if a text has a phone number, it will open in the dialer. Likewise, addresses will open in the Maps app.
Another feature that could make it to Android O is Finger Gestures. This feature is added to some devices by companies like Huawei’s Knuckle 2.0. This feature allows you to use gestures to open different apps. For example, drawing a ‘C’ on the screen will open the Calendar app.
