Social media giant Facebook today announced that it is launching a special Facebook 360 app for Samsung Gear VR users. This will allow users to experience Facebook 360 photos and videos right on their Gear VR . Apart from that, the company has also revealed that it should now be easier to discover 360 photos and videos.
The Facebook 360 app for Gear VR can be downloaded from the Oculus app on your Gear VR-compatible Samsung device or by visiting the Oculus site.

Facebook claims that more than 25 million 360 photos and more than 1 million 360 videos have been posted on Facebook till now so Facebook 360 users have a lot of content to discover in the app. Using the app, users can enjoy and discover Facebook 360 photos and videos from friends, including the photos that they have saved themselves. Apart from that, you can also react to photos and videos, and share them with your friends on Facebook. Facebook also announced that more social features are coming soon.
At launch, the app will feature four feeds:
· Explore: Discover some of the most interesting and popular 360 content on Facebook from media companies, organizations and individual creators.
· Following: Experience 360 content that your friends have posted on Facebook as well as 360 content from Pages and people you follow.
· Saved: Find all the 360 content you’ve saved from News Feed ready for you to enjoy at a more convenient time.
· Timeline: Relive your memories in a new way through your own 360 photo and video uploads.
Other platforms may also get a dedicated Facebook 360 app soon.
