The HTC 10 is the latest recipient of Android 7.0 Nougat in India . The handset was launched almost a year ago, and was expected to be one of the first HTC phones to get the update. In terms of features, users will be welcomed to an all new user interface and a bunch of other features on board.
It is said that the update is 1.21GB in size, so make sure your phone is on an unlimited Wi-Fi connection before going ahead with the update. The update was initially supposed to go out a few weeks ago, but was then halted due to some technical issues. But it seems likeHTC has sorted them out now with the update getting the green signal in Europe as well as India.
The update comes with some Nougat specific features like an improved notifications panel, multi-windows support and the all new Nougat UI themed with HTC Sense UI. The update also comes with the latestAndroid security update, so users can be assured of getting the latest in terms of both appearance as well as security.
The HTC 10 is expected to get a successor sometime later this year. While an announcement during the MWC has been ruled out, it is said that the company will hold an independent event to unveil the handset, much like last year. Whether the handset will manage to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the barrage of other Android phones is only for time to tell.
