Meizu M5s with 3GB RAM, 5.2’ HD display launched in China

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has launched their latest smartphone, the Meizu M5s in China today. 

The device in question is powered by the 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 3GB of RAM and comes with a 5.2-inch 720p HD IPS display. 

Additionally, the smartphone comes with 16/32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card ( of upto 128GB) and a 3,000mAh battery which Meizu claims can be charged from 0 to 19% in about 10 minutes. 

On the imaging front, the device features a 13MP rear camera with a 5 element lens, an aperture of f/2.2, two-tone flash and Phase Detection Auto-Focus. On the back there is a 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and ArcSoft beautification software.

Design wise, the Meizu M5s comes with a metal body and four color options, namely Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Rose gold and Star Grey. The device runs Meizu’s own Flyme OS running atop Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Connectivity wise, the device supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and also comes with an mTouch fingerprint scanner. The company claims that the mTouch scanner can unlock the device in less than 0.2 seconds. 

Price and availability 
The smartphone will go on sale in China from Feb 20 onwards and will come in two variants, one with 16GB of storage for CNY 799 (Roughly Rs 7,800) and one with 32 GB of storage for CNY 999 (Roughly Rs 9,700).
