Live images partly reveal the upcoming LG G6

LG’s next big flagship, the LG G6, is all set for an unveiling at the MWC later this year. As the company prepares for the launch of the handset, we’re getting some early images of the phone in the flesh. The images, as produced by DROIDLIFE could have been taken from LG’s R&D department as it seems to be under testing with wires protruding out of the back panel.

What makes this leak interesting is the fact that it’s in line with what rumors had talked about previously. It is yet to be ascertained if this is the real deal, but given that there’s no other LG smartphone with these markings, we’re going to remain positive.

The LG G6 might have to settle for the second place in terms of hype as all eyes are focused on the Samsung Galaxy S8 this year, especially given the Galaxy Note 7 controversy. However, if LG manages to impress as it has done over the past couple of years (barring the LG G4), we don’t see why the LG G6 can’t stand up against a stalwart like the Galaxy S8 in the market.

As for these images, it is revealed that the handset will feature dual-cameras on the back and a fingerprint scanner right under it. The existence of a USB Type-C port has been confirmed as well, along with a bottom positioned speaker grill. The speaker is only slightly different compared to the LG G5, so we don’t think there will be any major changes in this area.

Since we’re inching towards the big unveiling, we are hoping leaks will give us a better idea of the handset in the days to come.
