Lenovo is still working to revamp all of its notebook ranges. At the beginning of January CES at Las Vegas saw the renewal of the Yoga range for the consumer market, but now they are updating its ThinkPad P range for the professional business sector. As we will see below, these devices are for users who need gross power in mobility.
The equipment that Lenovo has renewed are the ThinkPad P51, P51s and P71, which have achieved NVIDIA certification for the use of virtual reality.
Lenovo ThinkPad P51
The P51 uses the latest generation of Intel Xeon processors, with an NVIDIA Quadro M2200M, together with up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of internal storage. The equipment arrives with a screen of 15 inches at 4K resolution, covering 100% of the range of color of Adobe, thanks to the Pantone calibration. Also, it includes a touchpad focused to the use of programs CAD, with ports USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3, Ethernet, HDMI and Smart Card.

Lenovo Thinkpad P51s
The ThinkPad P51s lowers the power of the processor, relying on the latest Intel Core i7, but maintains the NVIDIA Quadro graphics. In other sections, the P51s supports up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The main characteristic of this equipment is that it has two removable batteries, allowing us to change them without having to turn off the computer. On the screen, we can choose between FullHD or 4K resolutions.

Lenovo Thinkpad P71
Finally, from Lenovo they consider that the P71 is the “virtual reality made portable”. In this device we can choose between Intel Core or Intel Xeon processors along with an NVIDIA Quadro graphics, and up to 64 GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. The ThinkPad P71 features a 17-inch IPS display with 4K resolution. The Chinese company also brings the cooling system, which they say will keep the device cool and quiet even when making a demanding use of the equipment.

These portable computers, created for engineers and designers, make their price a little higher than what we are accustomed to see. The Lenovo ThinkPad P51s will be available in March starting at $1,049, while the ThinkPad P51 and P71 will go on sale in April from $1,399 and $1,849 respectively.
