OnePlus 3T launched in India: Price, specifications and more

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has launched its latest smartphone OnePlus 3T in India. The all-new OnePlus 3T is priced at Rs 29,999 for 64GB variant and Rs 34,999 for 128GB model. The 64GB variant is available in two colours -- Gunmetal and Soft Gold, while the 128GB models comes in Gunmetal colour only.

The smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon from midnight of December 14. The company's current flagship OnePlus 3, launched in June this year, is priced at model costs Rs 27,999.

One Plus 3T boasts of improved specifications and features over its predecessor, One Plus 3. These include a faster chipset, better front-facing camera and bigger battery. However, its overall design is same as that of OnePlus 3.

The dual-SIM supporting OnePlus 3T runs OxygenOS v3.5.3 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080x1920 pixels) Optic Amoled display. The smartphone also comes with OnePlus' software-based display tweaks like Night Mode, Light/Dark theme and Accent colours.

During OnePlus 3T's global unveiling, the company announced that both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will receive Android 7.0 Nougat update later this year. OnePlus 3 beta testers have already started receiving Android 7.0 Nougat-based OxygenOS Open Beta 8.

The smartphone is powered by
Qualcomm's newest chipset -- Snapdragon 821. This is complemented by 6GB of RAM, in line with wide speculations.

OnePlus 3T has a 16MP primary camera with a Sony IMX298 sensor and LED flash. The camera is capable of recording 4K video, as well as slo-mo (120fps) videos in HD resolution. It boasts of features like Optical Image Stabilization, Electronic Image Stabilization and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). Some of the other features include Auto HDR, Dynamic denoise and Manual mode.

Interestingly, it's the front camera that has received an upgrade. The OnePlus 3T comes with a 16MP front-facing snapper with a Samsung sensor. The camera has Phase Detection Autofocus and is capable of recording Full HD videos. In comparison, the OnePlus 3 has an 8MP front-facing shooter.
Connectivity options in OnePlus 3T include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS, Glonass and 4G LTE. For audio, the smartphone comes with Dirac HD sound technology, similar to OnePlus 3.

The OnePlus 3T is backed by a bigger 3,400mAh non-removable battery vis-a-vis OnePlus 3's 3000 mAh. The smartphone also comes with 'Dash Charge' fast-charging technology and fingerprint sensor.
