ZenWatch 2 update adds speaker support for making calls via Bluetooth: The ZenWatch 2’s updates were rolled out on Friday by the Taiwanese smartphone company ASUS. The new update brings in a lot of new features and developments in the device.

In the updated version of ZenWatch’s models WI501Q and WI502Q, the users can perform a lot of functions with just hand gestures. They can open apps, scroll through the cards, return to the watch face and even dim the screen by simple and spontaneous wrist gestures. In the screen dimmed mode, the watch changes into an ambient mode to provide extra privacy to the users. Not only does the level of privacy increases with this gesture, but also the battery consumption of the watch reduce.
After the current update, the users will now be able to able to play audio and video messages with applications like Glide and the other such apps which supports this function. The watch has been updated in such a way that it will notify the users about the available update for the Android Wear software when the watch is either connected to the charger or it is within the Bluetooth range of the smartphone or when the smartphone is connected to Internet connection.
One of the main highlights of the updated version of ZenWatch 2 models is that it comes with a speaker support that enables the users to make phone calls when they are connected to their smartphones via Bluetooth. This means that with the updated version the users will be able to make calls from their watches easily. The speaker not only assists in making calls, but it also allows the users to set audible alarms, listen to the sound effects and get app notification alerts on their watch.
The ZenWatch 2 was released on September 2015and it is available in two different sizes. One of them comes with a 1.45” display and a screen resolution of 280×280, while, the other one comes with a display of 1.63” and a screen resolution of320×320. The device has a battery power of 400mAh which gets charged up to 50% in just 36 minutes. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and comes with 512 MB of RAM and an internal storage of 4GB. ASUS ZenWatch 2 can be safely used in water and in dust, as it is rated atIP67, which means that it is dust and water resistant.
If the device does not get the update notification automatically, then the users can update their device manually. The following steps should be followed for this purpose:-
Step 1- Pair your ASUS ZenWatch 2 with an Android phone running on Android 4.3 or on iOS 8.2 or higher.
Step 2- After pairing the device, go to the settings of your Android device
Step 3- From settings, go to about.
Step 4- After click on the option of System Updates.
Step 5- Follow the instructions which come up. After having done that, enjoy your updated ASUS ZenWatch 2 device.
