OnePlus 2 rolls out with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based OxygenOS 3.0 update: Last year many Android smartphone manufacturers promised to deliver software updates but only few of them have stuck to it. However only few famous manufacturers have been successful in delivering the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates in their flagships and they are namely Samsung, HTC and Sony. But what about OnePlus? It had promised last year to bring in the Android Marshmallow update in November. It seems that the company is still working on it and is yet to fulfil its promise. According to recent reports the testing is going on in OxygenOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for OnePlus 2. As promised to update its One plus 2 by Q1 2016 we not surprised that the soak tests are going on.

Though some screenshots were seen on the official website of the company revealing the new update on its flagship One plus 2 but nothing has been confirmed as of now. One plus didn’t even say anything regarding the official rollout. For now only a few people have received the update, and it is assumed to be a soak test. Some new features of the update includes some homescreen customisations, Doze mode, Alerts Slider, Do not disturb mode and new wallpapers. Now your phone is secured with the March security patch and some new emoji’s are also introduced to the device. The Oxygen OS 2.2.1 of One plus rolled out recently for OnePlus 2 users. It also brought support for Romanian language, bug fixes on the connectivity front, Google Mobile Services 3.0 and for its inbuilt camera it has brought RAW camera support.
The one plus 2 is a capable phone in terms of hardware. It consist of a chipset v2.1 Snapdragon 810 with two storage options of 3/4 GB RAM and inbuilt storage of 16/64GB. It has a Full-HD display of 5.5-inch and to power the handset it has a 3300mAh battery. Recently the price of One plus two was lowered indicating that very soon the One plus 3 will launch. As it is just a soak test it is not available widely but if you want to check you have to go to SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE > SYSTEM UPDATE.
