How to protect smartphones from theft or loss [Go Android Authority]

Unknown 00:19:00 News Edit
How to protect smartphones from theft or loss: Theft or loss of smart phones is definitely one’s worst nightmare. Nowadays, our phones have all the necessary information and datas and thus must be protected and safeguarded. There is always a risk of confidential datas being accessed and misused. Moreover, by the time we realize that our smartphones are missing, a lot of harm has already been done.

How to protect smartphones from theft or loss

According to a certain survey, it was seen that the younger population finds out sooner about a theft of a phone than the older ones. Men finds out sooner than women do. Today in the 21st century, mobile phones are almost as important as ourselves. We carry them everywhere they go and we are mentally attached to them to a great extent.
HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD SAFEGUARD YOUR PHONES:
1. The data usually stored in our mobile phones causes a great threat if they reach the wrong hands and thus should be protected.
2. Always out texts and mails are not that confidential but many a times we have important passwords, registration or login details or any important code that would be dangerous if any one else sees it.
3. Diaries have been efficiently replaced by phones and thud they keep a track of all out appointments and stores all out contacts. Of course they cannot be anything worse than losing contacts and appointments.
4. Almost all out phones have our bank accounts as well as debit card details which are really confidential. Several important data and documents of immense value can also be present which should not be misplaced.

HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF

Definitely, prevention is better than cure and these measures will help you stay safe.
1. The most important thing is to keep a track of where you phone is. Be careful to always keep it with you.
2. Use password for both your phone as well as SIM card so that people cannot access the data and documents on your phone and will bot be able to use your SIM card that would make you receive huge bills.
3. Encrypt your private documents and protect them with pass codes.
4. Remember to back up all your datas from time to time so that you do not lose any essential data or documents.

IF YOUR PHONE IS STOLEN, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

1. Obviously, you should first call on the phone to ensure whether anyone has it or not. Thus, you should keep a recognizable tune so that it is easier to find.
2. If you do not get it, you should call the service provider and tell the concerned to lock your phone so that no one is able to make calls or access your datas.
3. Report to the police as soon as you can if you think that the phone has been stolen.
4. You should sit back and think about which accounts are logged in and change the passwords so that they are prevented from mishandling.
