Here is How can you stop new apps being added to your home screen in android

Android has long had a feature that automatically added shortcuts to the home screen after they were downloaded from the Google Play Store. As this could get annoying, the feature could be disabled within the Play Store’s settings menu. With Oreo, though, Google moved this setting out of the store itself and placed it into one of the operating system’s menus. Here’s how to turn this automatic feature off…
How to stop new apps from being added to your home screen on Android Oreo |
  1. Navigate to your Android device’s home screen
  2. Locate a blank section of the display and long press on it
  3. Three options will appear. Tap on Home Settings
  4. Toggle the switch off (so that it’s grayed out) next to Add Icon to Home screen
With this turned off, you should no longer have icons automatically added to your home screens. Disabling this will in no way affect the app from being placed in your app drawer. If you do want to re-enable it in the future, all you need to do is follow the above steps again and merely toggle it back on.
