NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has slashed the price of its Coolpad Cool 1 Dual, Coolpad Note 5, and Coolpad Note 5 Lite smartphones in India. The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual has got a price drop of Rs 6,000. The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (3GB RAM + 32GB storage) is now selling at Rs 7,999 which was launched at Rs 11,999, while the 4GB RAM + 32GB storage is available at Rs 8,999 down from Rs 14,999.
The Coolpad Note 5 has got a price cut of Rs 4,000. Launched at Rs 11,999, the smartphone is now selling at Rs 7,999. On the other hand the Coolpad Note 5 Lite has got a price drop of Rs 3,000. The smartphone was launched at Rs 8,999 and is now available at Rs 5,999. There is also an additional exchange discount of Rs 500 on Cool1 and Note 5 Lite. All the three smartphones are exclusively available on Amazon and are eligible for no cost EMI.
Speaking about the price cut, Syed, CEO, Coolpad India, said, "The response we have received for all these handsets in the past has been great. Despite a lot of options for Indian customers in this price range, customers have opted for Coolpad devices because they appreciate the quality, power pact and feature smartphones at most affordable prices. The price cut is a great opportunity for customers to buy best-selling Coolpad smartphones at a much affordable price and we are positive that we will receive a great response from the discount offered."
For those unaware, the Coolpad Cool1 Dual packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. The device offers 32GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. It sports a dual rear camera sensor with two 13MP modules and is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The Coolpad Note 5 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone houses a 4010mAH battery and boasts of a 13MP primary camera and 8MP secondary shooter for selfies.
Lastly, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution and is powered by MediaTek MT6735 processor. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
