Lenovo announces its shift to stock Android UI starting K8 Note

Latest Govt. Jobs 14:27:00 News Edit
NEW DELHI: Lenovo seems to have finally given up on its Vibe UI as it will now be shifting to stock Android user interface in its smartphones, starting with the Lenovo K8 Note. The Chinese tech firm says that this will provide enhanced user experience on its devices and will also be able to deliver the latest OS versions faster than others. The Lenovo K8 Note will be the first in line to run on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

"The move to stock Android will give users a cleaner interface, smoother experience and no excess bloat ware - everything that a user has come to expect from a premium device," says the firm. The OS version will be offering features such as multi-window, launch actions and better notification management. Google Assistant will also be arriving as a part of the OS version.

Last week, Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo revealed that it will be launching its latest smartphone Lenovo K8 Note in India on August 9.
Amazon too recently announced that the device will be exclusively available on the Amazon India website. The company tweeted the poster of the phone highlighting its camera performance.

Based on rumours and teasers, the smartphone will be sporting a much powerful processor than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 625.

The first video teaser also stressed on the fact that the 'Killer Note' will sport an efficient processor that will work smoothly across different apps or services.

Lenovo launching its K8 Note directly after the 'K6' series is rather interesting as the company is entirely skipping the 'K7' moniker.

To recall, Lenovo launched its K6 Note in India in December last year starting Rs 13,999. The handset came with a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display along with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the optics front, the smartphone sported a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies.
