The new variant will be available on the Samsung’s South Korean website and also on specific carriers in the country. However, the price and availability details of the smartphone are still unknown.
Apart from the storage and RAM, rest of the specifications remain the same. It comes with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED QHD+ (2960 x 1440 pixels) screen with a pixel density of 570ppi. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on the top.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset with custom Kyro cores, paired with Adreno 540 GPU. However, there is another variant that is powered by a 10nm Exynos 8895. The existing storage can be expanded via microSD card upto 256GB.
On the camera front, Galaxy S8+ houses a 12MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture that is assisted by a LED flash, OIS, and PDAF. It can record 4K videos at 30fps. The camera on the front is an 8MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture.
