As fans around the country are buzzing about stepping onto the set of Baahubali film and interacting with its elements through the virtual reality experience of the teaser of short film, The Sword of Baahubali, they are in for another visual treat this Sunday evening, as the entire cast and crew of the film gets together at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad for an audio launch of the second installment of Baahubali.The event would be available online in VR mode for fans across the globe, making it a first-of-its-kind experience.
“This will be a first live VR broadcast from an audio preview," said Chris Hook, senior director, global marketing and public relations, Radeon Technologies Group, at AMD. “So, fans across the world would be able to be a part of it -whether they have a smartphone, a VR headset, they would be able to get an immersive experience of the launch."
AMD has been the technology partner for director SS Rajamouli's film for four years, wherein the company helped them with special effects and designed the virtual reality camera to not only capture the essence of the set, but also the graphics and special effects of the film in virtual reality format.
The film's trailer, released over a week ago, has already garnered approximately 35 million views on YouTube.
