Just yesterday we saw a leaked press shot of the Samsung Galaxy S8 , but now there are leaked photos of the phone in the flesh, with the screen on, and shown from multiple angles.
The images, obtained by BGR , show the standard Samsung Galaxy S8, rather than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge /Plus, which means you’re looking at a phone with a likely 5.8-inch screen, but all other visible details should be more or less the same on both handsets.
The images don’t really show us anything new, but they line up with existing leaks and are perhaps our clearest look yet at the phone, showing a curved screen on the front with tiny bezels and no home button.
Instead, there are on-screen navigation keys, while the fingerprint scanner is widely believed to have been moved to the back – though that’s the one angle we can’t see in these latest shots.
Everything in its right place
As for the things we can see, there’s a front-facing camera, believed to be 8MP, above the screen, along with extra sensors that are likely for an iris scanner.
One edge of the phone looks to have power and volume buttons, while the other edge has a more mysterious key, that’s rumored to launch Samsung’s upcoming AI assistant .
The bottom edge houses a speaker, 3.5mm headphone port and USB Type-C port, while the top edge seems devoid of features.
While we can’t be certain that these images are accurate, they look like the real deal, and they don’t contradict previous images or rumors, so this is probably the form the Samsung Galaxy S8 will take.
Everything will become clear on March 29 , as that’s when Samsung is set to unveil the new handset.
- The HTC 11 might also arrive soon.
