Lenovo CG Slate tablet for kids launched at Rs 8,499: Lenovo has joined hands with the Convegenius i.e. an educational technology company, to launch the CG Slate tablet that is priced at Rs 8,499. As described by the company, the CG Slate is an NCERT curriculum-mapped, self- learning tablet for kids. Previously the device was only limited to the Convegenius B2B clients, that are NGOs, State Governments and other learning centres. It has already been mentioned that the tablet is a centered around a ‘gamified’ approach to learning, it means that kids would be gaining the knowledge by playing the games. As kids learn more, they will receive points and that can be redeemed to play games, watch cartoons and more. Kids can also be able to select toys that can be later purchased by their parents by using cash backs that are linked to the child’s account.The Lenovo-made the CG Slate tablet that will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and it features a 7-inch WSVGA IPS display with the 1024/600 pixels. It is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT8127 processor and it is clubbed with 1GB RAM. It includes inbuilt storage of 8GB and that can be expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB.
