Uber & Ola driver strike called off in Bengaluru after 6 days

Uber & Ola driver strike called off in Bengaluru after 6 daysUber and Ola drivers, who stayed off the roads for the last six days, have decided to call off their protest.

As a result, cabs will be back on the roads on Tuesday. “All drivers have decided to get back to work,“ said Srinivas K, member of the Ola TaxiforSure and Uber (OTU) Drivers and Owners Union.

“Staying off roads the last six days has taken a toll on us. We have to repay our vehicle loans and run our families,“ he said.

Drivers informed each other through WhatsApp messages, asking them to get back to work on Tuesday. Some of them started plying on Monday night itself. The drivers, however, hope that the aggregators will resolve their issues regarding remuneration.
