Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has announced their first smartphone launch in India this year. The company has announced the launch of another selfie-centric smartphone OPPO A57 . OPPO upcoming smartphone is set for launch on February 3. The A57 was launched in Chinese marker back in November 2016 priced at RMB 1,599, which makes it around Rs. 16,000.
OPPO made headlines in India with its F1s and the F1 Plus last year. Both the phones were selfie-centric having a 16MP front camera with a front flash and beautification features.
OPPO A57 looks a lot like the F1s which boasts a metal clad unibody design. The design looks like an imitation of what we have seen on recent iPhone models. The phone will come with a fingerprint sensor on the front, which also doubles as the home button.
On the specification front, the OPPO A57 sports a 5.2inch HD (720 x 1280p) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it features Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

In terms of camera optics, the OPPO A57 sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a whopping 16MPselfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. To power up the device, there is a 2900mAh battery packed inside. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ColorOS 3.0 on top of it. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB, and OTG support.
The Indian price of the phone will be announced on the launch day itself, but still we can expect it to be priced around Rs. 15,000 or more.
