ZTE to launch its first Android Wear Smartwatch ZTE Quartz in MWC 2017. Although devices with Android Wear have not yet become popular, this year we could see the second and third generation of watches from many manufacturers.
Over the past year, ZTE has given a 180-degree turn to its smartphone portfolio to gain a foothold in the mid-range and high-end devices market. Examples and results are the ZTE Axon 7 and Axon 7 Mini, among others. The firm seems determined to do the same in the smartwatch segment with the launch of its first smart watch with Android Wear. It will be revealed in the MWC, although the design of the ZTE Quartz that seems to be the trade name has just been seen in a filtered image.
This image first appeared on the twitter account of the famous source of leaks Evan Blass (@evleaks). It could well be a press photo given that its quality and level of detail allows us to observe the design of the ZTE Quartz.
As you can see, the launch of ZTE in the wearables market seems to be aimed at a wide range of customers. And it is the design of the ZTE Quartz has a modern line, but without losing a touch of elegance. We can really consider it as a watch with a sporty look that fits for all kinds of occasions.

The ZTE Quartz (pictured) was recently seen in the Bluetooth certification authority with model number ZW10, but its specifications are still in the air. We know it will come with 3G connectivity and WiFi, so it could work independently of the phone.
ZTE Quartz has not yet transcended the technical features of ZTE Quartz, such as screen size and resolution, processor type, memory or even battery capacity. What does seem certain is that the new ZTE smartwatch will land with Android Wear 2.0.
