Here Registrations for Google I/O 2017 are now live

Google is taking registrations for the I/O 2017 event which will be held between May 17-19 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in San Francisco. The event will be focused on developers and is expected to introduce a couple of new features which will give us an idea of where Google is headed in the future. Regular tickets for I/O 2017 will cost $1,150 while academic or student admission has been priced at $375. One ticket will cover the entry for all three days of the event.

It is possible that the company will talk about the upcoming version of Android to succeed Nougat. Among the other important features discussed during the event will be virtual reality and the Daydream platform which was launched with the Pixel duo last year. Given how seriously virtual reality is being taken in the tech industry, we expect Google to invest heavily on the platform to drive it forward in the coming years.

Expect Google to take the time to discuss a few things about the future of Chrome OS and where it’s headed. We should see a bunch of new features being bundled into Chrome OS. Last year, we saw Google announcing support for Android apps on Chrome OS, which proved to be a game changer.

The company will also discuss its plans for the wearable platform as Android Wear looks to take a new direction. Much like in the previous iterations of I/O, Google will host a livestream of the event for the rest of the world to see. It will be interesting to see if there will be any new hardware on offer, although it seems unlikely at this point. But a lot could change between now and May, so we won’t jump to any conclusions just yet.

You can register for the event from the link here .
