Gionee F5 launched with massive 4,000mAh battery

Gionee has just launched the F5 handset in China sporting a mammoth 4,000mAh battery under the hood. The smartphone comes with a fairly attractive hardware specs sheet apart from the battery, so it’s not a one trick pony. The pricing has been set at 1799 CNY (Rs 17,600 approx), which means it’s not going heavy on your wallets. 

There’s still no word on when or whether it will make its way to India, but we're guessing it will, since a device like this has a massive demand in the region. The phone also supports VoLTE by default, making it a pretty attractive handset overall. Expect the pricing to be somewhere north of Rs 17,000 when the handset makes its way to the country. The handset will be sold in Gold and Rose Gold variants in China.

Gionee is usually known for its camera rich handsets. While the F5 is no exception to that, the company is clearly focusing on the raw performance aspect here as is evident from the RAM and battery capacity.
