In a bid to boost its technological capabilities, Apple has been reported to have acquired a facial recognition firm Realface. According to the latest report from Calcalist, it might be true that Apple is looking forward to incorporate facial recognition and other biometric features in future iPhones .
For now, there is no disclosure about the financial details of the deal.

A similar deal happened in October 2016, when Apple had acquired a little-known Hyderabad based startup – Tuplejump.
According to hearsays, Apple has been working on an iris scanner toiPhone 8 that will allow users to unlock their device by using eyes, which in turn increases the safety factor of the smartphone. The company is also expected to replace TouchID home button with Virtual buttons, and the new phone is also reported to sport a fingerprint sensor that is built within the display.
