NEW DELHI: It often happens that once you post anything on Facebook, you spot a minor grammatical mistake (or any other error, for that matter) or figure out a better way of phrasing it. But you have to think twice before fixing the post because if you do, it will show up with an 'edited' tag.
For those of you who've always found this to be irksome, there's good news.
As spotted by Mashable website, Facebook is removing the 'edited' tag from the posts of some users, making it difficult to find out if a particular status update was originally posted or edited later.
However, users and others can still check a post's editing history. This can be done by clicking the small arrow icon on the top right corner of a post and clicking on 'View edit history' option.
Facebook representatives told Mashable that this is a 'different' type of editing system than what was being used before. Also mentioned is that the feature has been there for quite some time, but has started rolling out only recently.
The social media giant has been testing several new features for its website. Facebook recently confirmed to TechCrunch website that it is in the process of rolling out coloured status backgrounds to all users on Android, iOS and the Web
As mentioned by TechCrunch website, Facebook's new feature will allow users select a colour that they can put on the status bar, which for now is only available in White colour.
It has been further mentioned that the new coloured status backgrounds will be visible not just to the users who use them, but also to their friends.
Facebook, besides confirming the rollout, said that only Android app users will be able to post coloured statuses. However, all FB users on Android, iOS and web will be able to see them.
