NEW DELHI: If you're a Ford Mustang lover and want to drive the new Mustang, you can do so with your smartphone. Well, kind of. The automobile major has rolled out a web-based app that lets you turn your smartphone into a Mustang car.
Dubbed Pocket Mustang, the app lets you drift a virtual Ford Mustang by moving your smartphone. Once you're done, you can also directly share the video of your drift on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
To get started, all you need to do is go to Pocket Mustang's website and scan the QR code via your mobile phone. After this, the app will take you to the browser of your smartphone. Once this is done, the app will ask you to start drifting using the on-screen Mustang car.
Once you're ready to drift, place your smartphone on a flat surface. Now, tap on the screen to record a 10-second drifting manoeuvre. You can move your smartphone on the flat surface like a toy car to simulate drifting moves. In the process, you can even unlock some achievement badges.
Before starting, Pocket Mustang asks you to select the Mustang you want to drive. After that, you just have to enter your name, agree to the terms and conditions and get going.
The recorded video starts with the driver's name and shows all the drifting moves made. The same can then be shared on Facebook and Twitter, as mentioned earlier.
